Estate Planning

Razzaghi Law provides personalized estate planning services to individuals and families in San Diego and throughout California.

Estate planning is about more than deciding what happens to your property after you die. A thoughtful estate plan can help you decide who will manage your affairs if you become unable to do so, who can make health care decisions for you, how your assets will be managed and distributed, and how the people you care about will be protected.

At Razzaghi Law, estate plans are tailored to the individual rather than built around a one-size-fits-all set of documents. Your family, assets, priorities, and concerns are unique, and your estate plan should reflect them.

Depending on your circumstances, an estate plan may include a revocable living trust, will, durable power of attorney, advance health care directive, and other documents designed to work together as part of a comprehensive plan.

The goal is not simply to sign a collection of documents. It is to understand the decisions you are making and put a plan in place that works in real life.

What May Be Included in an Estate Plan

An estate plan is more than a will or a trust. The documents included in your plan will depend on your circumstances and goals, but may include:

Revocable Living Trust
A trust can provide for the management of your assets during your lifetime and establish how those assets will be managed and distributed after your death.

Will
A will can direct the distribution of assets that are subject to the will and can nominate guardians for minor children.

Durable Power of Attorney
A durable power of attorney allows you to designate someone to handle financial and legal matters on your behalf if needed.

Advance Health Care Directive
An advance health care directive allows you to designate someone to make health care decisions for you and communicate your wishes regarding your care.

The documents are designed to work together as part of a coordinated plan. During the estate planning process, we will discuss which documents are appropriate for you and how they fit together.

Why work with Razzaghi Law?

Estate planning is personal. The right plan depends not only on what you own, but on your family, relationships, concerns, and priorities.

At Razzaghi Law, the process begins with understanding your particular circumstances and what you want your plan to accomplish. We will discuss your options, the decisions you need to make, and how the different parts of your plan work together.

The goal is a plan you understand and feel confident about, not simply a set of documents.

Estate planning services are available in English and Farsi (Persian).
